Categories of Information We Collect and May Disclose
Protecting your personal information is an important priority for ECA. We use the personal information collected about you in order to provide you with better service and to comply with applicable law. We may collect non‐public personal information about you from the following sources: (1) Information given to us as part of your investment account opening process (i.e., name, address, occupation, email address, investment objectives and net worth); (2) Subscription documents and related transactional activity; and (3) Other interactions with us or our affiliates.
We may disclose non‐public personal information we collect about you to our affiliates and non‐affiliated service providers, as permitted by law. For example, we may share non‐public personal information about you in the following situations: (1) In connection with the administration and operation of the investments, this may include hedge funds, managers, administrators, attorneys, accountants, auditors, or other professionals and service providers; (2) With our affiliates to assist ECA in offering and providing our products and services to you; (3) Upon your consent, including authorization to disclose such information to persons acting in a fiduciary or representative capacity on your behalf; and (4) To respond to a subpoena or court order, judicial process or regulatory inquiry.
Confidentiality and Security
ECA has always considered the protection of sensitive information to be a sound business practice and a foundation of investor trust. We protect personal information we collect about you by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. Within ECA we restrict access to non‐public personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you.
